Cheap International Phone Calls
Questions and Answers

Cheap international phone calls from the UK are available to North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia. Available using land lines or mobile phones. See below the answers to frequently asked questions.

Over the Easter weekend, some customers are experiencing a delay in receiving the response texts. This is caused by a technical fault on the system. Please do not repeatedly text MORE to the 83006, 80041 or 80550 top-up number as each text you send will result in additional credit being given to you once the fault is resolved. Where possible, you are advised to use the direct dial service while waiting for your credit to come through.

Which phones can I top up from?
Any phone that allows our 0901 numbers to be called. Please remember that if topping up from a BT phone the call will cost you exactly £1 every time top up. CPS customers can route the call through BT by dialling 1280 0901 366 4067. If you have a service provider other than BT then please check their tariff before topping up as many charge more for the 0901 number.

For the mobile phone text service, your mobile phone provider will charge for sending the text at their standard rate plus £1.50 for each of the 2 text messages you receive in response to your text.

£1 if topping up from a BT phone - remember we credit your chosen phone with £1 instantly. If you have a service provider other than BT then please check their individual prices before topping-up as some will charge different rates for the 0901 number.

£3 if topping up from a mobile phone - remember we credit your phone with £1.50 for each text as soon as you receive each of the 2 text replies. Sometimes T-mobile phones only receive 1 text - your phone will only be charged £1.50 and receive £1.50 call credit.

Can I charge up more than £1?
Yes you can. Each top up call is £1 but you can make repeated top-ups. You could - for example - put £5's worth of credit on your phone by making five consecutive top up calls (we do restrict top ups from any one telephone number to £21 per day and £51 in any 30 days - if you exceed the limit you will not be charged for the attempted charge up.
There is an anti fraud measure which will freeze your account if the unspent credit exceeds £17.99 regardless of when you made the top ups. If this happens to you, please send an email with relevant details including your phone number so that the account can be reactivated.

Can I top up my balance?
Yes. Repeat the original top up process - that never changes. If you have - for example - 40p remaining credit and you top up with another £1 you now have £1.40's worth of credit to make calls. Simple!

Which access number is best to use?
You can use the access number 0207 124 6666 if calling from a mobile as this may be part of bundled free minutes you may have on your particular mobile contract. Or if you have free national/local calls from your home/office phone.

How can I get away from having to dial the access number ever again?
You can enter the access number followed by a pause and then the full international number into your phone memory. To see how on your mobile phone click here.
